倶知安町（旧倶知安村）生れの小川原脩（おがわら・しゅう）1911－2002
東京美術学校卒業後、前衛画家としての道を歩みはじめるが、太平洋戦争を機に進取の道を断念。戦後、郷里倶知安町に戻り以後６０数年間この土地を離れることなく創作活動に専念。６０歳を越えてから訪れた中国、チベット、インドで創作への新しい境地を拓く。
The Shu Ogawara Museum of Art museum was constructed in the memory of Kutchan-born Shu Ogawara (1911-2002), one of Hokkaido's most widely respected painters. The building, whose exterior was designed as part of the landscape, blends with the background of Mt. Youtei and the Niseko mountain range.

The charismatic management team does everything right, turning every customer into a regular, luring back their bilingual staff season after season, and building rapport with the locals. The bar is always spotless and hopping with customers, the Tex-Mex menu is the perfect filling end to a long day slaying pow, and if you stick around long enough, the drinks slowly get stronger as the night goes on. Try Japan's best Mojito, unless you're in a hurry to get stupid, then go with The Paralyzer.
The management may run the tightest ship in Niseko, but they get down harder than anybody else. Nobody works harder than Bills. Nobody plays harder than Bills. I can't recommend this joint highly enough. Seriously, get yer ass up in there. If you're only in Niseko for a week or two, this is the bar to hit up. If you're a local, then you already know the deal.
